Recently fired for misconduct. How to disclose on future job applications?

This week I was fired for misconduct. I was overheard by a customer saying "bullshit" and one of my coworkers reported me to HR for verbal harassment and after an investigation I was terminated. Now that I'm applying to other jobs, many of them have a specific question asking if I've been terminated from a position previously and if they can contact my past employer. I'm at a loss of what to do. Do I lie on the application? Say yes and never get a call back? I live in WA state and I looked over the laws regarding what past employers can say to people and I couldn't really figure out what the clear answer was. Any advice would be appreciated. I know I messed up but now I need to figure out how to dig myself out of this hole. I tried to call the HR department to see what they'd actually say if called but they're closed today.
