Basically I was hired at a place and have tickets to a show at the end of September (Friday night). I totally forgot about this until my boyfriend recently texted me about it then came oh no I forgot to tell my new employer.. I haven’t started working exactly yet but we are getting there with paperwork. Now I feel so dumb! She I believe wants me to do Friday nights as she asked me if I’m available to work those.. but the one night I can’t work is one she wants me to! (Me and my boyfriend bought the tickets a year ago so of course I forgot and had other things on my mind like new job related anxiety).
Do I just not go to the show? Do I tell her I forgot to mention a night I won’t be able to work? I’m not sure If I should just randomly call the place and let her know sooner then later that I won’t be able to work that night.. what do I do? (I’m not even sure yet if I will be working that night).
