From active duty to San Francisco

I’m currently a soldier stationed on Ft. Campbell and I ETS in February. I visited San Fransisco recently by staying in hostels and I really enjoyed the Bay Area. Basically I want to move there when I get out and wanted some advice. I’m currently single with no kids and have about 10k saved up. My plan was to get accepted into a school and use my GI bill to help pay for housing. I’m aware the cost of living in SF is astronomical. Monthly rate for BAH using the GI bill is roughly 4,200 in SF. I figured if I found a rooming/roommate situation on Craigslist after I get accepted to a school I could move in and make by with housing costs for roughly $1500 a month give or take. I feel like it might be hard to convince a renter to allow me to stay with them given my situation but am unsure. During school breaks I’d drive for Uber and get a part time job. I’m currently taking an online course for a medical administrative assistant with medical coding and figured once complete I could search for more reasonable job besides Uber while attending school and during breaks. Basically my question is this... Do you think this plan is a solid foundation that I could flesh out or am I just chasing a dream? Has anyone in this group gone out on a limb like this before? Any thoughts or advice is appreciated.
