Biotech jobs - at my wit's end

I don't know if I can keep searching. I finished my PhD last year, searched for jobs unsuccessfully for 7 months and then took a postdoc position (a $48k/yr training position) I didn't want.

I'm now 3 months into job searching this year. I've gotten resume and cover letter feedback, networked, got referrals, got help with interview questions, worked with multiple recruiters. Applied for both PhD level and BS/MS level research positions, all over the country, multiple therapeutic areas, companies of all sizes. Still no job. The one thing working against me is that I live 6 hrs drive from the nearest biotech hub (Boston), but I can't afford to move there without a job.

In my current postdoc position, I'm treated like a beginner despite my 7 years of lab experience, not valued and not being allowed to pursue research paths that will help me develop more job-applicable skills. But I'm stuck here. I would rather be a BS-level lab tech than a postdoc, but no one would consider me for that because I'm overqualified. All I want is to work somewhere where I feel cared about.

Sorry if this is rant-y. I just don't know if I can keep doing this. I never should have gone to ****** graduate school.
