My spouse is feeling defeated with trying to find a job. He was a manager of a local company for 11 years and got laid off in July. Another company in a similar field, told him they wanted to hire him, but it’s been so slow that they can’t afford to hire him right now.
He’s been working construction, but the pay isn’t consistent enough. (For example, this past week and a half he only worked last Monday, today, and a half day tomorrow; therefore, his pay check will only be a little over $100).
He put his application out on Indeed,submitted his newly updated resume to a bunch of businesses, and has asked friends and family for any openings. He heard from zero places.
He’s open to anything. Ideally something similar to a 9-5, but doesn’t have to be. Any advice on finding a job would help!
(He currently has an associates degree. I’m graduating in December, so once I have a job, I told him he should consider going back to school for a trade.)
