I'm job hunting- been at the same company for 5 years and can't get up the ladder at all, so time to move on. I can't get promoted, but, I get to keep training my latest new supervisor.. lol
I've had a few job offers- one I turned down when it turned out that health insurance was $1800 per biweekly paycheck. Unfortunately, I couldn't get information on their health insurance until I was offered the job at which point I declined.
Now, I have another job offer, but, HR has yet to respond with the price of their health benefits. I live in Florida and unfortunately you really have to ask here because otherwise you will be paying more than the insurance would cost to buy outright.
At what point is it normal to bring up health insurance rates? It looks like I will have to accept the job, attend orientation and find out there and then reject the job if it's ridiculous.
Is there something I'm doing wrong here? Is there a better way to get that information earlier on in the process?
