I went to school to be a web developer and I've been searching for a permanent job in the field since since the internship I had ended in late 2017.
During this time my mom was fighting brain cancer and last december the doctors determined the best course of action was to cease treatment and just keep her comfortable in the time she had left. Naturally I quit the shitty retail job I was working and moved home to be with her.
She passed about two months ago, and I've spent the last couple months dealing with the estate and cleaning out her house and such, but I feel like I need to get back to my life. My job hunt wasn't exactly going well before, but now that I have a huge chunk of time unaccounted for on my resume I'm worried even fewer companies will respond to my applications. Any advice for my situation?
