Apologies if this is in the wrong place or ranting, but I’m kind of in a tough spot right now and not sure how to move forward.
Anyway, I have two degrees, a BS in Marketing and and MS in Sports Management. I wanted to pursue a career in sports, but was told I was overqualified by a lot of employers, and found it difficult to move past the interview stage, because it ended up that the hiring manager or team would just end up getting their friend to work in that position instead. It was extremely disheartening and disappointing to keep having this happen to me, so I decided to give up on pursing that as a career.
After toiling around in some menial part-time jobs, I ended up getting hired at a job I loved, but was laid off after a year due to the company folding. Ever since then, I’ve had difficulty trying to find out what I really want to do. I have worked a couple of lousy jobs in the meantime, but I left them after a short time because of how the work environment was and the work being too boring for me.
I’m 27, and don’t really want to go back to school since I still have a fair amount of debt from my other two degrees. I feel as if I’m in quarter life crisis mode. I have an offer from a place right now, but it isn’t for anything that I really want to do or feel like I could stay at for awhile. I could always use the money, but don’t want to keep being in jobs that I don’t feel satisfied with.
Anyone have any advice/tips/potential jobs that would be good for me?
