So if you look at my post history you can see that I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
I’ve been looking for a job in my field since October 2018 and no matter where I apply, I keep getting rejected. I’ve talked to a career counselor about my resume and interviewing tips and I have received a couple of interviews since then.
The first one did not go well but I thought my latest job interview for a medical scribe position at a neurology clinic went pretty well.
They told me they’d get back to me a week after the interview whether they decide to hire me or not but it’s been two weeks as of today and they still haven’t sent me anything. I’m assuming this means I won’t be hired by them.
I even emailed them telling them that I was excited to be considered for this job and was looking forward to hearing from them but still no response. Was that email a bad move?
I guess I’d like some insight as to what am I doing wrong?
And do y’all have any tips on what to do or where to look to get a job in this field? I’ve tried Glassdoor, Indeed, and Ziprecruiter but my applications are either getting rejected or ignored.
I would work elsewhere but I really want to work in the psychology field so that I can have some experience as well as a chance at a letter of recommendation when I apply to do my masters degree in psychology. Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions.
