So I started a new job in the UK's NHS last week. It's a new role. My manager was essentially doing everything herself before I got the job. It involves a lot of collaboration with different teams and organisations regionally and I'm already feeling overwhelmed. I went into a board seminar yesterday where they had a facilitator to start a discussion on the future of the partnership and I was sitting there feeling clueless. Now my manager has asked me to write up case studies on our different clinical work streams, and to prepare a report on the cost effectiveness and clinical outcomes of social prescribing and I'm starting to actually feel sick with anxiety.
Is this normal for someone in a new role or am I too stupid for this job? I feel like I might actually be stupid haha.
