What does a background check reveal?

Hi all,

I am currently in the hiring process of a marketing firm. They just have to complete my background check. In the summer I worked at another firm but quit after about a week with no two weeks notice. I did not put this business on my resume or anything. Im afraid this could effect my employment if it shows up on the background check.
