Hello r/Jobs,
I'm a relatively recent college grad (2 years out) who is currently in a Sales Operations Analyst role at a large tech company. I've been working a lot with our FP&A team on pulling the forecast from the CRM for their analysis. After getting insight into the FP&A dept I'm looking to make a career path switch. Particular interests include: forecasting, financial modeling, strategy, etc.
I studied Finance in college and have some basic analytical skills (SQL, some R, some fundamental stats), but have had lukewarm reception in interviews because my current job doesn't involve heavy data analysis/strategy. Ive been taking Udemy classes in my free time which has helped a bit.
Any advice from the community on how to better prepare myself for this career switch? I'm looking for anything from specific technical skills all the way to general guidance.
Thanks so much!
