Hi! I’m just looking for advice on this. Early January, the recruiter of the company I now work for called me to offer my the position I applied for. They gave me a few schedule options to choose from. I asked for the Weds/Thurs off option. After I started my temporary training schedule, they emailed me with my post-training schedule with Tues/Weds off with no explanation.
I asked for clarification on my schedule because of this contradiction. Their response was “we don’t offer Weds/Thurs off”.
I’m in FL. The company I work for is a large cable company. I want to ask if they could instead accommodate a Sun/Mon off since they initially offered something they didn’t have available.
Any advice? I figure I’m going to just have to suck it up, but if there’s a better way to negotiate I’d appreciate it!
