Is it okay to take a break?

Hello guys! I’ve been working in accounting & audit for 3 years now and I wanted to know your thoughts on taking breaks.

Sorry for the long post but I have a few questions.. How is a gap on the CV taken by recruiters? Will I have to justify the time that I was unemployed? To those who have taken a break, why did you do so and was it worth it? Or do you regret it? Was it easy to get a job after?
