My 72 year old Grandfather lost his job and needs my help to apply for another one. Any advice on how to apply as a Walmart greeter?

He doesn’t have any savings and has a house loan, so as terrible as it is he needs a job. I was thinking a Walmart greeter since he is on his feet a lot anyways and has no computer knowledge. The Walmart in his town doesn’t have a position open on Zip Recruiter or LinkedIn. Should I just call and ask them how to proceed? Or does anybody know a better way to handle this? He lives in Whitehouse Tennessee, so there aren’t a ton of options available for him.

Edit: I live in Wisconsin so I’m doing this from afar for him.
