This week I have an interview with a company that I previously interviewed with last December. Part of the process involves giving a short 10min presentation to 1-4 people on a topic of choice that isn't job or major related (hobbies. personal interests, etc.). It's meant to be a "training session" to display your presentation skills and it should be interactive, informative, creative, and stray from using PPT. In my previous interview, my presentation was on concert photography.
I'm trying to decide on a topic that I'm knowledgable about and would really appreciate your opinion.
Potential topics:
- Golf swing: Go over some basics from stance, backswing, and follow through. Possibly bring an iPad to record an employee's swing without a club to analyze it, draw some lines, and give tips.
- Fishing: Go over some basics from fishing for muskie and northern. Possibly teach employees how to tie the Palomar knot or something.
- Reef Jar: Recently I made a low cost saltwater reef jar and was thinking of going over how to make and maintain it. Would mention buying a jar, sand, live rock, corals, and led light. Primarily would spend time on checking parameters (salinity, calcium, etc.), what you can stock it with (corals, macro, inverts), and how to maintain it (water changes, not bleaching coral, feeding)
- Backpacking or Photography: Other interest I have and could base it on what to pack and eat or how to edit photos in Lightroom (might be hard to use program on their monitor)
