When to leave a job?

I (22F) just started my first post grad job/career less than 2 months ago. Immediately I was “thrown into the fire” without enough training to fully understand what’s going on. My boss has recently been upset with me and asked him to sit down and talk about it. I let him know that I have been feeling overwhelmed lately and he basically just brushed off how I was feeling because there were more important things going on. This made my heart drop. I’m normally not someone who would stand up for myself and this absolutely destroyed me when all I was asking for was help.

I have been making mistakes lately but I reminded him that I’m still learning, which he agreed with. I’m expected to work at the same level as my colleagues who have been here for almost a year. I am significantly underpaid for the work that I do and am very worried about my future here as my boss doesn’t seem to care that I’m feeling this way. My job is extremely fast-paced with nearly impossible deadlines. I can’t get my work done in 8 hours and feel like I need to work off the clock to even come close to getting it all done.

I love the people but am also sick to my stomach and leave on the verge of tears every day. I also don’t want people to think I left because I “can’t handle it”.

People are telling me to stick it out but I almost don’t want to. I’m willing to give it a few more months, but don’t really want to. I’ve also have heard recently from other departments that there is a high turnover rate in my department, which I had no idea about going into it.

This was my dream job. Is this just how the business world is? What should I do?
