Telling new job I hope to maintain status at my current job

Long story short, I am on the cusp of receiving an offer for a new job. The new job is a Monday through Friday gig, 6-month contract to hire. Considering the first 6 months are contract and being hired after is not a guarantee, I was hoping to maintain my status at my current job on the weekends, and my manager has approved this. Do you think this will look bad for the new potential job? I'm afraid it would show lack of commitment, or if they potentially needed me on weekends me not being able to show up would hurt my chances of being hired on full-time
