I started a new job a few weeks ago and I feel really incompetent. The first week was a lot of learning and now it’s the third week, and I still get really nervous and try to prep every night for what’s to come the next day. My manager assigned me a small task today and it took me an hour that I feel like it’d take others fifteen or so. I’ve been asking for feedback and they say I’m doing great but is this just a courtesy thing? Should I ask my manager if I’m moving to slow on my deliverables? (I’m worried this would make him think that I’m incompetent at my job)
Any advice is appreciated!
