I work at a law firm right now and it’s my first job out of college. I have been miserable and overworked for the past few months due to a team change. I haven’t had a raise in the almost two years I’ve been there so I found another role where I’m earning $8,000 more. I accepted the offer today. How do I quit my current job? I just got a new supervisor because of a reorganization, and I haven’t even had the chance to meet her yet. Do I tell my supervisor or HR? Do I write a letter or do I just give her my two weeks over the phone?
Edit: I also just took bereavement leave the past three days. Is it a bad look that I’m giving my two weeks right after I go on leave? It was only three days but it was a legitimate reason.
