Need Advice for Multiple Short Term Work Experiences

Hey guys, former lurker here. For some context, I’m a new grad and I work (or trying to, at least) in healthcare. Goal is to get into PA school, so lots of clinical experience is needed. I struggled finding work for about 3-4 months after graduation because of Covid.

Since my junior year of college till now, I’ve had so many short term job experiences in healthcare. I’m worried about how to address it on my resume or if I shouldn’t even include them because many interviewers have asked me how I got certain skills (ex. being familiar with different EMR systems) when most of them were from those short experiences. 2 of them were internship/externship required for my major and the medical assisting program I was in. I think those may be more understandable because they weren’t actual jobs. But I’ve also had 3 jobs in speciality medicine where 2 out of 3 I was dismissed before the 90 day trial period and 1 that I left myself due to poor management. I don’t want to sound defensive and say these early dismissals aren’t entirely my fault. One of these dismissals was my first ever job in healthcare and for a new practice that didn’t have anything set up before they started seeing patients. No one knew what they were doing, but I always bent over backwards for that job and took accountability for my mistakes. I was there for a little over a month until they let me go due to low patient turnout (can’t see many patients if you’re not even contracted with insurance plans yet). For my most recent dismissal, I had only been working 3 weeks and some change. Out of those 3 weeks, I was out 1 week for a trip that was already discussed during the interview. I didn’t think I would get so hired quickly, but didn’t want to risk this employer changing his mind/interview others if I waited to start working after the trip. This was my dream job and I did everything in my power to lock it down. I thought I was doing pretty well and getting better at my job despite my training. I felt like my training was very shaky as other coworkers’ training began to take precedence over mine and because I was out for a week. I would say poor training resulted in miscommunication and minor mistakes with my performance, which sucks because I actually put all my energy into learning the procedures, medications, protocols etc. I’m extremely bummed because I was truly only working for 2 weeks and had learned so much, only to be let go. All employers said they would help me out and that they wouldn’t say anything bad about me, but I haven’t used any as references because of how awkward it is.

I want to include these jobs to showcase all the skills and experiences I’ve gained since they were all from different specialties, but I’m also worried about how it makes me look like a job hopper. Any advice on how to frame it?

TLDR; have too many <2 month job experiences that I want to include on resume to explain where I learned specific skills
