I was at junior level for 3 hears, intermediate for 3 years, currently have been a senior for 2 years. I have applied to various managerial positions despite that I don’t have supervising experience, didn’t get any interviews. There is little or no chance to advance to manager position at my current company.

I didn’t apply to manager roles that pay less than my current role. Should I do that, stay there for two years just for the supervising experience and then jump?

How did you get your first manager role? Especially if you weren’t promoted within a company.
Thank you. I feel stuck. All manager roles ask for managerial experience, I have an MBA which didn’t seem to help.
