Hi everyone,
I would like to apply to international development consulting companies and multilateral organizations (Chemonics International, World Bank, UN, etc.) to get a job in this sector.
I recently graduated from college in May and I now work for a consulting company in dc. I like my job so far - it pays well enough for me to pay off my loans by next summer and I have a great team on my project. However, I am really interested in international development and my current project is for a federal government agency. I would like to translate the Project Management and Data Analytics skills I'm currently building to the international development space for a company/organization. There's no international development projects at my current company.
So when is the general timeframe for me to start applying to jobs for these roles? I would like to switch into a new company sometime in August-October 2020.
Also, what skills should I build in order to be more marketable? I studied Public Health and International Relations in college.
Thank you :)
