I can't find anything to help me know if choice was a good one. I quit since the nearest mcdonalds was too far away and there was a subway in my town, and I got the job at mcdonalds since it was the first to answer and took me in almost instantly. But then other problems rose up. I had to badger my manager for my schedule, beg for my uniform and over all had to wait half my summer for my summer job. And once I started my manager who said she would take care of me was only there for two days out of all the days I worked, the people I needed to talk to were never there. Little communication between managers, working me five days a week despite being a minor and four of those days were in a row! I had to beg for my paystubs had to beg for my card that my pay would be on. My manager said she wouldn't take text outside of work and over all I began to get depressed by working there.
And once school started I ran into more problems. I leave school at 2:30 and it takes 15 minutes to get home. They expected me to get there by 4! That meant i only had 15 minutes at home to rest! And I get home at 10 on school nights, I barely had time to shower or eat, even when I fixed the schedual I was too tired to shower i looked like a tired maniac after working.
So yesterday I couldn't take it anymore and I called my manager and told them i quit. Now I am worried about money and want to know if I made the right choice, I want to know if Subway is a good alternative or if I should wait till I am 18 when more job options open up. Please, I need help.
