I’m 31F and I just landed my second office job. I always thought my first office job that I just left was the worst because of the company but really, it’s the nature of the work. Before my last job (I was there four years) I worked in restaurants and did well...I enjoyed it for the most part. I am just not cut out for office work; between the monotony and the work itself I just have zero interest. I also am about 8 credits away from my associates degree if that makes any difference.
My husband works for a family business and there aren’t any benefits offered but a high salary so my job has sort of been the “benefits” receiver. He wants me to quit and find something I’ll enjoy better. I do too but I guess we need to be smart about it. Anybody have any advice for careers that aren’t necessary office jobs that pay alright and maybe offer basic benefits?
