I battled depression and had to put my "dreams" on hold after I graduated in college in 2014. My initial plan out of college was to work in creative content production with a focus on the film industry, and to move to LA. I'm finally here, but I worked in healthcare and didn't do many creative things leading up to the move.
My experience: a year spent as a medical photographer / videographer, two years at a major health foods company in supplement sales (which eventually lead to a job assisting the store graphic artist) and as a hospital administrative assistant straight out of college (2 years).
My recent experience here includes interning at a headshot studio and a lot of freelance work, mostly with local actors (social media marketing / creative content), event photography and PA'ing my ass off while providing behind the scenes photos.
I love anything re: digital content production and marketing / strategy (I have all the relevant certs, too), and am looking for a job within the field. Should I include only my creative work, or include everything above? I currently shortlisted my experience up to the medical photography gig but am worried about this obvious 3 year gap in my resume. What should I do? Any advice is appreciated :)
