Friend has been on the job for a month, they want to give her a new title and more responsibilities

So my friend has been working for a nonprofit organization as a Housing Law Paralegal for the past month and it's been going okay.

She said that her director came to her to say that they like her work and would like to expand her responsibilities. Her case load would double but her title would change to Group Paralegal or something.

She's hesitant because that's double the workload and no mention of a pay increase was mentioned. She said that she will let them know by the end of the week as she is only a month old in the job.

Does she bring up if they are going to increase her pay? Or make that a condition?
