Hello, I am currently a small time automotive technician and a mom and pops style shop in New Hampshire. Currently I'm on the lower level of the ladder in terms of what I get to do for work despite haveing gone to college. I do mostly oil changes, state inspections and the small odd jobs no one else wants to do with some occasional bigger jobs here and there. I also have a small time job on Saturday where I work on classics cars, which i love to do and learn on. I will be having a kid by August, and my s.o. has determined that the pay I get there will definitely not come close to keeping 3 people afloat. I'm currently looking at other lines of work. Here is my question and where I would like to have some advice.
What careers would best suit a ex-mechanic? What jobs can my skillsets transfer too? What places are the best where I can hopefully grow and expand/climb the latter
