Hi reddit, I'm looking to change my life trajectory and was hoping for some guidance from the kind folks here. Basically I'm trying to get into a career in Asset Management / Equity Research.
About me: Finance BBA, live in NYC, 0 work/intern experience in the finance field, 0 social network. 2 years doing portfolio mngmnt, options trading, tech equity research on my own time and money - bunch of reports and documents to show for it.
Been applying to lots of entry level jobs with no luck. Currently studying to take the SIE, then planning for Series 63. No plans to do CFA.
Basically I'm trying to go pro but have no idea what to do or if I'm even making the right moves. Would any redditors be so kind as to point me in the right direction? Thanks!
