What do you count as experience?

I’m applying for a sewing position with a manufacturing company, and they’re asking how many years of experience I have in “light manufacturing.” I’ve never sewn in a professional setting before, however, I have been sewing for roughly ten years, casually. Maybe I’m overthinking it, but would you count that ten years, or would you only consider professional experience when answering these kinds of questions?
